A carnival game night is a simple premise with a big impact. Low-cost game rentals and no-fuss decorations make planning and preparation easy. But kids will have a blast playing games, eating snacks, and making crafts. Read on for carnival game night tips, courtesy of marthastewart.com.

DIY Carnival Booths

Create colorful carnival booths by stringing sheets, towels and lightweight blankets on clothesline hung between trees. Don’t have brightly-colored sheets? Check out a local thrift store.

Easy Carnival Snacks

What do kids like to eat at carnivals? Popcorn, nachos, cotton candy, and slushies! Keep it simple and the kids will be thrilled.

Games

The most important part! No matter what games you choose – milk bottle toss, duck pond, ring toss, bean bag toss or any of our other retro carnival games, the kids will have a blast. And when in doubt: get a bounce house!

Tickets and Prizes

You don’t need to spend a lot of money on prizes! Hand out raffle tickets (which we conveniently sell), and visit the dollar store for small items like kazoos, candy, balls and art supplies to hand out at the end of the night.

Temporary Tattoo Booth

Face painting is fun, but can get messy. Why not temporary tattoos? They’re cheap, easy to apply, and allows kids to relive the memory of the carnival game night for days to come.
